Cleaning Sealed Driving Lights Lens and Reflector

I accept looked at several period right way TTG driving lights that take a sealed lens and reflector unit. Generally the merely opening other than the bulb socket is a pocket-sized breather or vent hole. It is not unusual for the back of the lens and the reflector to be dirty/dusty/cloudy. Other than blowing out with compressed air is there a solution or mix of alcohol or something that could be rinsed around in the unit of measurement. Information technology would need to not destroy the reflector or add to any corrosion and dry without streaking the lens.

Or, has anyone attempted to separate the lens from the reflector in these blazon of lights. The seal is formed with a very hard drying substance that is not easily removed.

Any suggestions?

I accept used window cleaner (a few drops) and very hot water. Pour in through the bulb opening and simply slosh information technology around inside. Rinse with hot h2o and utilize a compressor/air gun to dry it out. You lot tin besides utilise some cotton on a stick to practise the backside of the lens, but be very careful not to touch the reflector, it will scratch very easily!

Orange, I did not read your mail service through. The sealed lens/reflector is difficult to carve up. I have not found any chemicals that will disolve the white sealing stuff, its very hard. I retrieve y'all could possibly use a dremmel to gring it of?

Replating; practice non apply chrome, chrome will only requite yous 60-seventy% of the reflectivnes. Silverish gives 80-90%, but the all-time is aluminium used in a vapor process. UVIRA in the U.s. dos this. My source is calorie-free guru Daniel Stern.
